Michelle's Story
Life
I've lived in Boston Massachusetts for the past 20+ years. I love living in New England. Spring & Fall are especially beautiful. But, in all honesty I really miss Denver! Everytime I visit home I am amazed at how much she's grown. It's really become a cosmopolitan cow town! I've had some wonderful educational and professional experiences in Boston. I attended Wellesley College for 2 years and withdrew for family/financial reason always with the intention that I would & could always go back to finish. However, the career took off and finishing school took a back seat. I started out entry level in Broadcasting and from there went to work for a small Venture Capital firm where I assisted the president and had the opportunity to cultivate new business opportunities and work on small deals. op a minority focused branch dedicated to educating and empowering youth as well as implementing powerful mentor programs throughout the city. After a few years there I was recruited by Fidelity Investments. There I became the chief aid to one of the presidents. My main focus was speech writing, overseeing multi-media presentations for national business conferences with lots of travel. Additionally, I handled marketing & PR, interfaced with international print & broadcast media outlets, assisted in business planning, financial analysis etc. At the end of 2004, I decided to take a temporary leave of absence. To finally do something for myself feels awesome. It's wonderful to be 40+ and have the opportunity to rediscover and reinvent myself. For me, the 40's are the new 20's. I know who I am and plan to enjoy life a little. I'm happily single w/ no children.
