Michelle Callahan:  

Well, most of you that knew me in high school knew me as Michael Callahan. After I graduated from Tinley I set out on a long journey that finds me now living in Arizona. The big difference now though is that I am Michelle Callahan. I got divorced because of the change after 16 years of marriage. Sadly I lost more than my marriage. I lost most of my friends and all of my family including my children who I have not talked to in five years. Now before anyone goes judging me you should at least educate yourself about transexuals- and I'm not talking about the Gerry Springer type. I have a large circle of transgender friends that have normal everyday jobs at places like Honeywell and Intel. I am an art teacher now and I have been for 15 years. I transitioned at my school last year and I am now in my second year as Michelle. I started my transition in 2001. It is my teaching position that brought my last big adventure about.
