Michelle's Story
Where to begin...Let me see....As some of you may or may not remember, I lived in Tennessee for a couple of years and went to school in Centerville from Kindergarten - Second Grade and then I moved to Florida. I went to school in New Port Richey Florida from second half of Second Grade through Junior Year of High School (Ridgewood High School) and then my parents got a wild hair and moved to Tennessee in January of 1988. I have no idea what the hell they were thinking but nonetheless we moved and I started the second half of my Junior Year at Hickman County High School in January 1988. And then of course graduated from Hickman County High School in 1989. As everyone may remember I joined the National Guard (1988) while I was Junior in high school, went to Basic Training during Summer vacation, and then returned for Senior year. After graduation I went to work full time for the National Guard in Nashville and stayed there until 1991. Prior to leaving Tennessee for Army Active Duty, I had my son Anthony James. Then in July 1991, I left TN for the Army.
While on Army active duty I traveled all over the place. I have been stationed at Ft Benjamin Harrison IN, Camp Casey Korea, Ft Campell KY, Yongsan Korea, Ft Jackson SC, Yongsan Korea, Ft Drum NY, Ft Monroe VA, Ft Gordon GA and Taegu Korea. After 17 years of being in the military (15 years of being on Army Active duty and 2 years of National Guard Duty), I medically retired. I loved living in Korea more than anywhere I was ever stationed. While I was in Korea the first time I had my second child, James (AKA Stevie) who was born in 1992. While I was in Korea I traveled to Japan as well as all over the Korean peninsula. I have met many people from all walks of life and have made many friends and...Expand for more
numerous life long friendships with differnet people that I have learned to call family.
While I was stationed at Ft Campbell KY, I met my first husband in 1993 and we were married in 1994. He was also on active duty and we were stationed together until his discharge from the Army and our divorce. While married we had a daughter together who was born in 1997. We were divorced in 2003.
I then met my true love and best friend Michael and we were married in 2004. We both traveled together to many different locations including Korea until I retired and he is still on Army Active Duty and currently stationed in Kuwait until 2009. Upon my retiring, I returned to Florida to be close to my family and currently live there today with my children.
I am a Sports fanatic. I love football, basketball, baseball, softball, and bowling. I am my husband and sons biggest fan when it comes to sports. I have also became a certified softball and basketbal official while I was in the Army. I also played softball while in the Army. My husband plays ever sport that you can imagine and my sons, the oldest plays Baseball and the younger one plays whatever he can get into at the time especially bowling.
Other than enjoying life to its fullest and living everyday as if it were the last, I spend time with my family and friends hanging out and relaxing.
Stan, Christy, and Dana - I love you guys and miss you bunches and can't wait to hear from you guys and see you all at the 20 year reunion. Let me know what's up with you all. To all my other friends from school both at Ridgewood and HCHS, its been a long time and look forward to hearing from you all on how your lives have been and are going. Until then be safe and take care.....
Later and Miss you all
