Life
Hello everyone. Just had a whim to look at this site and see who I could find. Things have changed a lot in not only the world but also my life in these past couple years. First I moved to VA back in 1999, with Kelly (Murphy) Hughes. Things got boring for me and I decided to do something better with my life. In 2001 I joined the Air Force a couple months prior to 9-11. Imagine my surprise when 9-11 came and I realized that I could actually be sent to war. All I wanted to do was travel and go to school. I must say though I am greatlful to be in this position and make a difference in the world. In the AF I am an Aerospace Grounds Equipment mechanic. This job isn't all that great and I am hoping to retrain into another soon. My first duty station was in Charleston, SC. I spent almost 3 years there. It's freaking hot there. Before going to SC I got married to by boyfriend I was seeing before enlisting. While in SC was able to deploy to Germany 2 times and Afghanistan once. My next duty station brought me back to VA. o this brings me to where I'm at now. My husband and I own our house and we have 2 dogs. We are currently trying to have a kid. Hopefully I will be able to update this bio with the blessing of a child. My husband works at the Norfolk Navy base as a computer technician of some sort. I really don't get into computers so I can't explain. Well that is a little peek into my life for now. Bye
Military
I joined the AF in Mar 01'. I went to boot camp at Lackland AFB, TX. The nit was on to Tech school to learn my new perfession as a mechanic. Tech School was at Sheppard AFB, TX. I spent 6 months in the pit of Texas in Witchita Falls. Upon graduation I was off to my fisrt duty station, which was Charleston AFB, SC. I spent almost 3 years there. While there I was sent to Rhein Main AB, Germany 2 times for 3 months each time. While there I was able to see some of Germany as well as taking a trip to Paris, France and Amsterdam. Another deployment was to Afghanistan to Bagram AB. That was interesting. My next duty station ended up being Langley AFB, VA. Wish I would have stayed at Charleston. Well that has been my career so far. Hopefully more to come.
