Michelle's Story

(March 2008) I moved to San Jose, California in 1996 (which is when my grownup life really began)! I met my husband, Tony, in 1997. He was home (U.S.) from overseas after surgery from a basketball injury. Shortly into our "dating" he signed another contract to play basketball in Germany. He wrote me into his contract and took me overseas with him. We lived in Hamburg, Germany for the next basketball season. It was an amazing experience! Tony ended his professional career (with a knee injury) in 1998 and went into coaching, which brought us to Fresno, California (he coached high school basketball for six years and is currently in his third season coaching at Fresno City Junior College...they won State the last two years and as this season nears an end we are headed to the State playoffs). Tony proposed to me in 1999 and we were married in April 2000. We had a beautiful big wedding in Los Gatos, California. Everything I had ever dreamed of. Tony and I bought a home in Fresno and started our family. Cadee (pronounced "katie") was born in April 2002. At that time I was working at Kaiser in Worker's Compensation and was able to take six months off work to stay at home. After the six months, I was lucky to have the option to work from home. I worked from home until our son, Connor, was born on Christmas Day 2004. At that time, I left Kaiser and purchased a franchise... Gymboree Pl...Expand for more
ay & Music. That turned out to be a HUGE venture (fun but too busy) and after one year I sold it and decided to focus on being a "mommy and a wife!" Best decision I have ever made :) This past August (2007) we had our third child, McKae. McKae is now 6-months-old and tons of fun! Tony and I would have 10 kids if there was enough time in the day to spend quality time with each of them! I adore our kids! My husband and I are considering one more baby. Time will tell! As for now, my life is filled with volunteering in my daughter's kindergarten class, mommy-n-me preschool, playgroups, an occasional mom's night out with friends, and a weekly date night with my hubby (well and McKae). Not to mention, lots of basketball games! It's a great life :) My family and I love to travel. We spend a lot of time on the beach and at Disneyland (which is only a couple of hours from home). And we are getting ready for a trip to Maui in a couple of weeks (spring break). Over the past ten years we have visited several islands in the Bahamas, Mexican Riveria, Hawaiian Islands, and islands in the Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean, as well as Europe. Traveling is by far our favorite past time and we plan to continue traveling with our children! Good times! Well, that's all for now! I hope to hear from some old classmates! I wasn't able to find much info on Class of 1990! Best wishes to all!
