Michelle's Story

So, it's been some years now since I signed up on this thing and it is about time that I wrote something. The problem is I'm not quite sure what to say. I guess I'll start with "Hello" to any person who has decided that they actually want to know more information about my humble life. I'll also say that I wish you well, whoever you may be. I guess I'll give a little background. After I graduated, I decided to go to school to become a music therapist. However, I became a little disillusioned with that profession and in my 3rd-ish year of college got engaged to Kacha Azema, also an illustrious Bedford graduate, and married him in '97. We immediately moved to St. Augustine, FL. where he finished up school and we played in the beautiful sun and sea for a while before moving back up to MI. We had moved back to the Pontiac area and began two large projects, one...helping to start a post-mod church and two... starting our first serious musical endeavor, a band. Sadly, after about 4 or 5 years we said goodbye to the awesome, challenging, gut-wrenching, beautiful experience of the church we had help to start. (Learned so many life lessons that I'm still gleaning some golden nuggets out of that one.) A year or so after that I had my first precious baby, a little girl. We continued with our band, recording several albums and enjoying some moderate successes. We did some mini tours of some...Expand for more
summer festivals and competed in that grand ole town of Nashville winning a nationwide spot of 1 of 10 musical acts. Another year or so and I was blessed with the advent of my second baby, another precious girl. I think it was while I was pregnant with my second child that we officially "retired" the band. It was just getting too hard to keep up with all our little ones running around! However, we have vowed that this is not our last musical endeavor. We truly cannot wait to have the chance to start creating again. So that pretty much brings me to today. I've had so many different jobs that it's pointless to list them all. I've done a variety of things, but usually end up working/helping out a friend for a while, which suits me just fine. Thankfully, Kacha is the major bread winner in our family which allows me to hop around and now concentrate on caring for my precious girls. I am truly thankful for the blessed life that God has given me. I've gotten the chance to see Europe 3 different times and many other wonderful places, explored creativity with the one I love, gotten to experience the joy of being a parent, grown closer and deeper with my God, celebrated 10 years being married to the same awesome guy, and get to live my quiet life the way I always wanted. And, if you've made it all the way through to the end of this, I wish only the best for you as well. Peace to you.
