Michelle's Story

I attended Holy Name of Jesus grammar school and then went to Mercy Academy until middle of my Junior year. I went to Grace King and graduated in 1984 I hated it I wished I would have stayed at Mercy. After graduation I went to college and got my BA in fine arts and taught Art for a while and returned to graduate school to get my masters in education. I taught elementry school for sometime and had my son in 1998 and stayed home to raise him. When he went to school I returned to teaching until the birth of my daughter in 2007. We decided I really didn't need to work so I am now a busy stay at home mom. My son is now 10yrs and attends a local Catholic school in Covington. Life is busy for us lots of running around, giving our time at the school and church. We always try to have family night once a week. At this time I have no intention on returning to teaching because I enjoy being a stay at home mom and wife. My other half is a Naval Ar...Expand for more
chitect and Marine Engineer for a Covington Company that designs large vessels. We have fun as a family most weekends watching him auto race his really cool 1957 Austin Healy bugeye car in Texas and in LA. When we are not busy auto racing we pretty much stick to the Northshore area and hang out with friends. Our son is in scouts and that also keeps us busy. I didn't really keep in touch with anyone from Grace King since I was only there for one year. I mostly have kept one friend from the childhood and the rest are friends I have meet through my sons school. My life has changed for the better since high school and to be honest that one year at King well it's just a bump on life's highway. The people I remember the most are the girls from Mercy Academy and Holy Name,but when it comes to remembering names and faces it's hard because we have changed so much.
