Michelle's Story
Life
In mid 2006, at the age of 63, I started running. To date, I've run in about a dozen 5K races, three 10Ks, a 10-miler, six half marathons (the most recent being in December 2010), and two full marathons.
My first marathon was the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 19th, 2008. I trained for it with Team in Training, which is part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My dad died of leukemia, so this is a very important charity for me.

ty assurance test engineer, a profession I had been in for twelve years; I started in this field about six years after finishing a twenty-two year career in the US Army. Non-work activities include being a nonprofessional activist in human and civil rights issues, and being a proud grandparent, with two wonderful grandsons--and of course, a wonderful daughter and son-in-law.
Oh, and I have been driving a Toyota Prius since July, 2004. So I'm now doing just that much more to reduce pollution and conserve petroleum.
