Michelle's Story
Life
I am currently a literacy coach at an elementary school and love working in the field of education. I am a mom of two darling children. My wonderful husband Tim and I met in San Diego and married in 1993. We moved to the Seattle area soon after we got married and we both finished our bachelor's degrees at the University of Washington (Tim in engineering, me in social science with an emphasis in gender, ethnicity and culture);go Huskies! ch fun just the two of us, and we had to endure a couple of major life events such as my mom passing away and me getting diagnosed with retinal detachment in both of my eyes. I endured two delicate surgeries on my eyes and I thank God everyday that I can still see. I have to wear glasses all the time now but when it comes down to it, I am just thankful. I now live in a darling little town in Washington state, Tim is now a firefighter (he hated engineering) and life is good. I often wonder about my classmates back in Apple Valley.
