Hi Everyone! It may surprise you to hear that I am a college professor. I started teaching full-time in 1984, and it's something that I just love! This year, my entire teaching load is Internet-based, and so I get to teach students from all over the country. I'm also the mom to a terrific kid (born in 1994). I'm such an "old" mom compared with the parents of my kid's classmates, and it was a riot to see me keep up with all the running around we do during school activities and such. But, I managed to hang in there and my kid never know the difference anyway! I've really enjoyed reading others' bios on this site, and I hope everyone eventually brings us up to speed on their lives. P.S. Carla (LaGrassa) Diriwachter and I are still good friends :-) I started out at Our Lady of Lourdes elementary school and switched to Hendy Avenue elementary school in 5th grade.
