In addition to my duties at FSCC I serve as the staff photographer for the KANSAS JOURNAL OF MILITARY HISTORY and have worked as a documentary historical consultant to the History Channel and Kurtis Productions. BS called "Bad Blood". In my spare time, which I have little of, I am an avid hiker, back packer, love the tallgrass prairies of Kansas, travel to Civil War battlefields, am a photogrpaher, and a Civil War Reenactor. About once a year I get back to Michigan to see my parents and brother.
In July 2006 I founded my own company, Discovering History LLC, and will leave teaching in December 2006 to become a full time historical documentary producer for a television production company in Chicago, Il. I will make my home in Bartlesville, OK and have just bought a home for the first time. I am president of my company which specializes in historical consulting, living history, public speaking and photography as well as television production.
