One of Michelle's favorite quotes is:"Gandhi said once that "dictators and the like seem to be invincible, and for a time, they are. But in the end they always fail. Think of it. Always." This gives me hope. Plus one of my favorite church songs, "Be Not Afraid," has a line that says "I go before you always" and I really try to imagine Him doing that. Then there're songs by Boston called "Don't Look Back" and "Peace of Mind" that have helped me; and Kansas' "Hold On" got me througn the past few years of a living hell (literally). Everything points to having hope for the future and being free of the past.".

. I have a terrific sense of humor and love telling good clean jokes. The mountains and lake here are beautiful, plus the STARS! (not celebrities!) I mean the REAL stars are so beautiful and bright out here at night, something I didn't get to see much of before.
News about my beautiful golden Chow/Rottweiler mix, now named Rock: He is being trained by his foster mother to be in dog shows. He has always been very intelligent. It looks like he will stay with her. I miss him so much and it's very hard to be without him.
When Rock and I lived together, I loved spending time with my pooch (the dog, not my stomach) and sometimes I'd get him to howl with me. It's funny that it's almost a compulsion for him to join when I start. I don't know if he thought it was funny though ;-) With his foster mother (who has several other rotts), Rock has a girlfriend (imagine that!). I always called him "The neighborhood Romeo" and he had better success than I did! He and his lady (I think her name is Brittany) share the same big kennel with his'n hers dog houses. He can run around the big yard (something I always promised him he'd have) and play tug of war with the toys. He's so happy! I try to visit him every time when I'm back in KC and he has SUCH attutude! ;-)".
