Michelle's Story

After high school I attended the University of Hartford (and stopped being called Shelley) for three semesters, but thought I should earn a living and left after 3 semesters and began working in a clerical position at Squibb (now Bristol-Myers Squibb) in New Brunswick. Earned my degree attending night classes at Trenton State College and then some grad school at Rutgers. Worked at BMS for 32 years, in Clinical Operations, and then for 8 years at Savient Pharmaceuticals, in East Brunswick. Pharma world with 60,000 of us pounding the pavement . So I retired. Photography is my current passion... Googling me will find my online galleries (though there are at least 26 Michelle Altons on the internet! In the past two years have done freelance news and sports photography for Philadelphia outlets, and lately have gotten into shooting events for Philadelphia organizations. Also do volunteer photography for the Southeast Philadelphia chapter of the Red Cross, shooting events and local disasters. Married Jeff Alton in 1984 and had my first grandchild in 1985! Now there are 7 steps, 17 grand steps, and one great grand step! Would love to hear from old classmates.

Dusk. The orchids live in the powder room. I dropped little pieces of ice onto the vase night.. And suddenly the sky went pink in the dark.

For years and years, Vultures seem to like me!
Yesterday I was sitting at my desk and I looked out through the window. What a surprise. Yuck!
