Michelle's Story
i am listed on facebook as michelle whisman. so many enka high class of 76 grads are on there now, come join us. i went skydiving for the first time on jan 31st. it was an amazing experience. next thing for me to tackle is scuba diving. i would like to do it at the great barrier reef. i know it would be beautiful. just another check mark on my list of life to do's. i am divorced now. see below the married stuff to find out what has changed. i am loving being alone. been married three times and now i need to be married to me and learn me all over again. i am worth knowing all on my own, not attached to a spouse.
I am married, have been for the second time for almost twenty years. Never had kids, but those of you who remember me well, will remember that I never wanted kids. I had my tubes tied when I was 27. I am hooked on playing spades and backgammon on the net and gardening. I have over 400 different types of hostas. We have a beautiful home and yard and a pond with fish and water lilies.
My father passed away this past April from pancreatic cancer. It was a horrible way to die. He was very young and died within four months of diagnosis.
year 2008 well, things change and am single now. loving every minute of it. can you imagine that we are now just 12 years away from collecting social security, y...Expand for more
owser!! i never knew being alone and getting to know yourself all over again would be such a wonderful thing. i went to see michael buble in concert in march of 2008 and had a great time. hooked up with high school best friend again in 2008 and it was just like we hadn't been apart for ages. he came to visit me in charlotte and we both had a blast at the concert. i am going skydiving for the first time on jan 31, 2009. i can't wait. life is for living. i have spent entirely too much time not living. the second half is going to be a blast!!
still even more has happened to me. terry johnson who went to school with us wrote me a note on new years and asked me if i remembered him, i said yes i did and that if my memory served me correctly, he was somewhat of a bad boy. he wrote back and it went from there. a whirlwind of letters and phone calls then skyping every night. in may i moved back to asheville to move in with him. he is the finest man i have ever met. i have never loved any one as much as i love him. he is the one i was always meant to be with but never knew till now. we looked back at graduation pictures and to our surprise, he is standing right next to me in the stadium picture of our graduating class. go figure, it was meant to be for sure. can't wait to see everyone at our 35th reunion next year.
