Mick's Story
Life
Married to Beth in 1991-no children. Teaching Geography at Central Oregon Community College look me up on their website. Just climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (19,341') at age 61. Retired from guiding in Alaska for 13 years in a sea kayak. Have now been to 48 countries, most recently Uzbekistan and Luxembourg in 2014, and Cuba in 2016.. I speak 1 3/4 languages. I will be teaching Geography in Barcelona, Spain in 2019. A little slower, but still exploring and enjoying life. Climbed to 19,668' on Volcan Licancabur in Bolivia in 2007. California section of the Pacific Crest Trail in summer 2015, as I've completed the Oregon and Washington sections already, and now have 1,560 miles done.. Beth and I biked the Jersey shore with Chin and Geier in July 2015 and Mike Dwyer met us for beers close to his home in South Jersey. Just got back from Cuba in July 2016 ; Went to Namibia, Botswana, RSA, Zimbabwe and UAE in August 2016. I didn't make the reuinion, as I was teaching at that time.
Bend, OR has been home for 25 years, after moving down from Alaska. Life has been very interesting and rewarding!
