After graduation 1966-2 years SIU -transferred to Northwestern and graduated in 1970. 1971 made aliyah to Israel-drafted to IDF and served as paratrooper (later in reserves for over 20 years) married 8th generation Sabra (divorced 25 years later) 3 beautiful children and now 15 grandchildren with 16th on way(all in Israel with us) Happily remarried to most wonderful lady over 14 years- and living near Jerusalem Later studied pharmacy-and for last 22 years work in Israel Min. of Health-serve as Director of division of enforcement- dealing with counterfeit drugs,medical devices,designer drugs "legal highs',diverted controlled drugs, anabolic steroids etc Do special projects for Min of foreign affairs etc regarding enforcement ,and hence travel extensively Looking back-from my days growing up on 100th street - my life is filled with beautiful family,the feeling of gratitude for loving the exciting and fulfilling life in Israel and the excitement and satisfaction of my job-sometimes a little hectic and perhaps some dangers - but satisfying still in contact with Arnie Chernoff ,Ira and Marty- If you ever get to Israel would love to hear from old Bowenites My wonderful sister Caryl lives in Buffalo Grove and has 3 beautiful grandchildren As of Dec 1 2016 I am retiring from the Ministry of Health.
