Mickie's Story
Hi everyone, just hanging out first thing in the morning. Happy New Year to those of you that know me. Nothing new here, the family is doing well. My daughter has decided to take the ASVAB and go into the Air Force just like her father. He supports her as do I, we want her to be happy. I am doing well in work and am enjoying being 40, who knew I'd make it this far, almost didn't, but that is another story. My husband and I have been together for 17 years now, who knew we'd make it this far. Moved to Indianapolis Indiana a couple of years ago as the job moved and ended up with a 3000 square foot house that would have costed close to 300,000 in Denver for $150,000 here. Not bad, God has blessed our family, not that we haven't had hard times, but we got through them with our faith. I think about High School and all that we did with fond memories. ...Expand for more
I am not like I was back then, I am not as shy any more and don't wear jeans and t-shirts every day either. The workforce does frown upon that. Wish I could say I look like I used to, but such is not the case. With health issues comes weight, but I am happy as I hope you all are. My work is going well, I am progressing up the government ladder and heading towards retirement one day. My stepson recently married, he is 30 and made the big step this fall. His wife is a pretty girl and they are happy. Thank you everyone if you chose to read this. I know it probably doesn't sound interesting, but for the quiet side of my family, it is really quite fine and I am glad our lives are finally slowing down as we are not constantly on the run like we were in Denver.
