Mike's Story
Hey It's Mike Cahoon, I graduated in '93. I moved to Los Angeles in 1998 after studying theater and film production at Keene State College. Since then here's what I've been up to. I've been a motion picture camera assistant in Hollywood since 1998 and have been enjoying every second. I've just wrapped "Charlie Wilson's War" starring Tom Hanks, Julia Robert's and Philip Seymore Hoffman, shot in Morocco and L.A.. It will be coming out in December '07.
Some other films I've done include;
"Charlie's Angels" starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Lui and Bill Murray.
"The Haunted Mansion" starring Eddie Murphy.
"Master and Commander" starring Russell Crowe, shot in mexico for 6 months and 3 weeks in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador.
"Empire Falls" shot on location in Maine, starring Paul Newman, Ed harris, Aiden Quinn, Helen Hunt, Philip Seymore Hoffman, Robin Wright Penn and Joanne Woodward.
"National Security" starring Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn.
"Path to War" starring Alec Baldwin, Donald Sutherland, Philip Baker Hall, Felicity Huffman and Michael Gambon.
"In Good Company" starring Dennis Quaid, Topher Grace, Scarlett Johansson, Marg Helgenberger and Philip Baker Hall.

t do the entire movie are "Mission Impossible 3", "Bruce Almighty", "Herbie Fully Loaded", "Blades of Glory", "Spanglish" "Grid Iron Gang" "Be Cool" which was "Get Shorty 2" and probably a few more I can't remember right now.
I've also done some T.V., music videos and commercials the highlights being "CSI New York", "Studio 60 on Sunset Strip", "Head Cases", "Drive" "Summerland", a Michael Jackson video with Marlon Brando for "You Rock My World" (that was a strange week). A Beck video for"Hell Yes". For "Be Cool" we flew to Boston to film Aerosmith from on stage during the concert singing at the Tweeter Center (formally Great Woods). Oh and there was a Starbucks commercial I remember with Survivor singing "Eye Of The Tiger" for three 15 hour days. The upside is I had the lead singer leave that as my message on my cell phone.
Apart from work, I live in Santa Monica by the beach west of L.A. Never married and no kids but I do have a girlfriend. Pretty much stress free as per my grand scheme. There's a thriving Red Sox community out here and a famous Boston bar called "Sonny Mcleans " AKA Red Sox Nation West a couple of blocks from my place where they brought the trophy out so we could drool on it a little bit. As for the future..Hollywood is full of opportunities for those who seek them out, so we'll see where things go from here.
