Mike's Story
Since High School, I went to UT-Austin on the 7 year plan. Worked at Domino's to pay for school, and also "while I looked for a real job" Managing a Domino's 65 hours a week and partying like I was still 21 made it hard to find a real job.
Eventually left, called best friend (class of 85) to see what was up - drove with my roommate/assistant manager 30 hours to Rochester NY, got hired (both of us) at CompUSA, drove back, got our stuff, and went to live in the snowpit from he??.
Applied for every job anywhere south after living in 8 months of that white stuff falling from the sky, moved to Miami, and then to Dallas. Was at CompUSA a total of 8 years and moved to JCPenney. There 8 more years and got a job of...Expand for more
fer at Garden Ridge back in Katy, and up we moved.
Got married in 1996 to wife Tricia. Son Evan born in late 1997, daughters Amanda and Alyssa in 2000 and 2003 respectively.
Houston has changed since I was gone. 7 or 8 high schools where there were 2 in both Cypress and Katy. Wow. Construction that started in 1984 is almost done on I-10. Nice.
Hobbies - I referee football anywhere from the 4-year old peewee crazy stuff up to Friday Night Lights (was on a crew in Dallas, have to find one here). Biggest game so far was a 3A game to decide who made the playoffs. Also, I umpire softball and generally find myself being in charge of that, although I've not reconnected to the softball leagues down here yet.
