Mike's Story
Hi all....... Still kickin. After school, Worked at U. S. Steel till I was laid off. Went to Houston, like everyone else did in the 80's. I got married to a New Jersey girl there and ended up in Tucson. I worked for Auotzone and they shipped me all over the country. I lived in Denver, Co, Seattle, Wa, Las Cruses, N.M., Till they offered me a job back in Michigan City. I helped open their stores here in N. W. Indiana and in 96, I quit them to go to work for Beta Steel. In 2001 I got divorced And met the girl of my dreams a month after the divorce. Its funny, because she was a very close freind during my childhood. Her name, Sandy Eidman. ...Expand for more
We moved to Florida in 03 and I endurred 5 Hurricanes. Charley, Frances, Jeanne, Katrina, and Wilma. We Moved back here to Indiana In 07, bought a house about a mile from where I lived as a kid. I went back to work for Beta Steel and plan to retire from there.
Sandy and I enjoy our 5 Grand kids when we can see them, and just live the quiet, laid back life. I work in my garage, building cars, bikes, home improvement stuff, and repairing anything that breaks. I am also still a die hard Cubs fan. Wait til next year, And I love the Bears.
