Mike's Story
Life
After High School I went directly into collage and received a BS Degree in Geology at Long Beach State. Prior to that I worked as a river rafting guide in Northern California during the summers for two years while working on my Masters. I met my wife on a trip that I guided and we have been together for 26 years with two girls, one 18 and the other 12. After college, the Oil Business in the US rolled up and went offshore in the early eighties so I fell back into Aerospace where I had worked while going through college. to this effort I worked for Northrop and Boeing/McDonnell Douglas for 18+ years in Long Beach and Huntington Beach.
My current interests are wine appreciation (I worked the 02' Cab. Crush at a small winery in Sonoma), winemaking (I currently have a barrel of Cab aging from Napa grapes I contracted for) and my family.
My oldest daughter is going to my alma mater, Long Beach St and a major in Kinesiology. My youngest daughter is now in 6th grade at Sowers middle school and playing soccer and basketball. My wife is 5 years younger, a foot smaller and my best friend! She is a native of the bay area in Northern California whom I dragged down to So. Cal. Hope all is well with you!!
