Mike's Story
Life
Been doing a lot better than I ever thought possible, retired from the Navy, Great new job, been living down by the beach down in San Diego for the last 16 years, also bought a little ranch in the moutains a couple miles east, a weekend getaway place to camp and party. I still surf almost every chance I get, and I am just really enjoying life. I still miss the old days at Lompoc, had some really good friends and some great times. Mike
School
High school was a total blast. I think I should have studied a little harder though ! Damn I had so many crushes ....The teachers were interesting to say the least. Mr johnson was always fun. As for doing crazy crap, just entirely to many things to list, all I can say is I should not have survived some of them. But I guess I have nine lives or something.
Military

1981, I thought why the heck did I do this to myself, But damn, I have seen so many places around the world and visited so many fabulous places, well some not so great. But for the most part it was a blast. I worked my ass off launching planes off aircraft carriers, and got a little part in an old movie Top Gun, If anyone remembers that. Had some great times and had some bad times. I have been involved in every war and conflict during the last 23 years and just think to myself, damn we are lucky to live in the US, There are some really messed up places in the world, theres a lot of nice places too, but I always liked to come home. I had to do 8 overseas tours while I was in and darn they were long. But for the most part the military was a great choice for me and has worked out way better than I could have ever imagined.
