shortly after graduation from brownsburg high, in june 1981 i moved to denver co. with my parents. broke my heart because it was the end of my relationship with my girlfriend MELISSA McCOY (84 bburg grad.) when i moved i had a 73 chevelle laguna and it wasn't my dream car but in december of 81 i bought a 1969 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER with a 440 engin and a four speed. not a very important fact except for the cruising scene in denver was enourmous from 81 to 85 and this sums up who i was during this period. i worked odd jobs (mostly lumber yards) up to 85 and that was ok because i was a cruiser. got a lot of tickets and lost my license once and in 84 i felt it might be time for a change. i enlisted in the air force IN in the fall of 1984 and sold my ROAD RUNNER on may 14, 1985. i sure wish i had that car back! may 15, 85 i went into the af hoping to get into firefighting or law enforcement but they had other plans for me. the job they assigned me was dental lab tech. i was so mad, they said my test scores were too high and i would get bored with what i wanted. i gave it a shot and as i expected i didn't like it. i asked to be removed and reclassified and they refused saying that i was doing well on tests and in class so i was to remain a dental lab tech. unfortunately i had to intentionly fail to be removed from the class. long story short, i was reclassified as something else unacceptable and i requested a discharge. after a brief tug of war i was granted a full honorable discharge on jan 15, 1985. i really wish it would have worked out as i really liked the air force overall. back to denver. worked in private security until 1992 when i got on the denver police department. that was ok until my parents retired and moved to arkansas. now i was in denver by myself. in 94 i moved to memphis with my grandma which was also reasonably close ...Expand for more
