Mike's Story
Life
Right after graduation, I went to Tech School and landed a job at Peterson AFB fixing as a Desktop/Network Specialist. Completely bored with that profession and realizing I liked computers more as a hobby, I left and went back into the retail management business. My family all moved to beautiful sunny Florida and I soon followed years later.
I am still single (for how long?) and living it up in Florida (when there's no hurricanes destroying my home). I still haven't been back to visit Colorado and I miss the mountains so much and the friendly community in the Springs.
School
I never seemed to fit into any one group in school. I had friends and enemies from all different "cliques". My rebellious nature got me into trouble at Rampart HS and I landed myself at Aspen Valley . At first, I lookted at it as punishment being there, but I soon realized that with the smaller class sizes and the AMAZING teachers and staff there who actually CARED. I somehow found a way to graduate (with a 3.2 GPA however that happened!).
I will never forget all the teachers at A...Expand for more
spen Valley but I definitely want to give a shout out to Mr. Dykshorn (Band, Rampart HS), Ms. Maykowski (Choir, Rampart HS), Ms. Leeway (Math, Aspen Valley), Dr. Elrod (Principal, Aspen Valley) and last but not least, Mr. Mileski (English, Aspen Valley). All of them showed me that my life and education was important and I had something special and unique to offer to the world, as ALL of us do.
College
From the day I started at UNC Greeley, I hated it. College life was definitely NOT for me. I hated having a twin bed and a 10x10 room that I had to share with someone else whom I barely knew. Still, I actually had it good because there were some dorm rooms there that had 3 to 4 people in it. I like my privacy. I don't like community restrooms (you should have SEEN the showers YICK!). Aside for my small complaints, I don't think I was mature enough to handle the responsibility of going to class and managing my time well enough to actually pass all my classes. So I dropped out after semester and went back home and took some technical courses to learn more about computers.
