Michael (Mike) Remotigue:  

Life In 1986, I graduated with a BS in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Cincinnati. During that time, I met Robyn Bowling, who is a 1983 Fairfield graduate. She also attended and graduated from U.C. We were married in August of 1986 and immediately moved to Fort Worth, Texas. I was employed at General Dynamics for almost 5 years. During that time, I earned a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering ('91) from the University of Texas at Arlington. In September of 1991, we moved to Starkville, Mississippi, home of Mississippi State University (MSU). This was a great opportunity for both of us. I moved here to be on the research staff at the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center. In December of 1999, I earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. I was an Associate Research Professor at the Center for Automotive Vehicular Systems located at MSU. I split my duties between research, graduate students, and the occasional classroom. For Robyn, it was an opportunity for her to pursue a Master of Public Policy and Administration degree. She is also working for MSU in Sponsored Programs Administration as an Assistant Director/Grants & Contracts Administrator. In 2005, she earned her certification as a Research Administrator.
