Mike's Story

Life Okay, so the old bio was a little old. I wrote it back when Paula and I were on the reunion comittee for our 30th reunion. I guess it is time to update it a bit. Paula (McAfee) and I have been married for 29 years, celebrating #30 this December. We have two children...okay they are adults...Adam and Katie. Adam and his wife Sarah have been married for three years and are expecting their first child in September. They live here in Enid. Katie is engaged to be married in July. After she and Reid's wedding they will be moving to Virginia. After graduation, I went to school for a while and eventually joined to Air Force. I ended up making it a career and retired in 1996. After retiring I continue to work...of course. I work for a retirement community here in Enid, OK. We have six levels of living and I am the administrator for our independent living apartment highrise. I am also the m...Expand for more
arketing director for the entire village. Adam is the assistant to the administrator at our nursing home. Paula graduated from East Texas State and after the kids were a little older, she took a teaching position at a local private christian elementary school. The school has pre-K through sixth grade and Paula teaches one of the second grade classes. We recently did some remodeling at our old place. Yep, old, over 100 years. We have done quite a bit to the place but have been wanting to repaint and recarpet the front two rooms of our home. It's done and we are enjoying our work. We feel like we are in a bed and breakfast in Eureka Springs...just don't have to hit the road to enjoy it. I love to play golf and Paula loves having company in, so if you are ever in the neighborhood drop in. The coffee is always on. The pics I posted are from reunion comm. meetings and some of the kids.
