Milt's Story
Life
Met My Spouse
At Salt Lake Golden Eagles hockey game. Her name is Diane and she graduated from Jordan High School.
My Pets
Dog, Elliot, still stupid after all these years, but still affectionate also. I'm still the alpha dog. Cat, Momar, been gone over three years now. Don't think we'll be getting anymore cats.
My Kids
One awesome son. Yippie! He graduated from Arizona State University in December 07. Whew! Finally. He started working for Boeing in January. I think he is going to be Ok.
My Job
Program manager at General Dynamics. Been a great ride so far. Recently moved from engineering to management. They say I've gone to the dark side now. My engineer buddies are right, management sucks, mostly. You're never really in charge. There's always somebody higher than you if you don't own the company. And if I did own the company, it would probably suck worse.
My Hobby
August 2007, its time to update this profile a bit. I'm still addicted to mountain biking. Like most addictions it will probably kill me someday. But what a way to go. Since I've been at for about four years now I'm somewhat better at it and crash much less than when I last updated this section. Well, at least I've learned how to crash better. I've upgraded my bike also. My main steed nowadays is a custom built 2006 Ventana El Capitan 29er full squishy. MTBer's will understand the lingo. I figure this bike set me back more than 10 times what I paid for my first car. I've expanded my trail riding universe a bit also. Took my bike to the UK spring of 2006 while there for work. Spent a couple of months riding the English countryside between working. Had one of my funnest biking weekends at a mtn bike park in Wales, UK. My riding partners and I have taken recent biking trips to Southern Az, Northern Az and Southern Utah. We're planning a fall trip to Fruita, Colorado and Moab, Utah.
Update Dec 2007. Looks like I spoke too soon. Had a spectacular ride in October, the day before starting a weeklong vacation, and just before the ride was finished had a stupid moment resulting in a crash that has mostly kept...Expand for more
me off the bike two months. See face in pics. Had to cancel the Moab trip. Now I'm in physical therapy for my back for who knows how long. Maybe I should quit tryin lines my riding partners won't try...
March 2008: Next week I graduate from PT according to my physical therapist. My back is still not 100% but I'm back riding most of the trails that I was riding before the big crash. It will take a while to get back my biking mojo but you're not going to get there watching TV. New mtb trip scheduled for first weekend in May to Gooseberry Mesa, Utah. Life is good. Been tweaking my bike a little bit. I put the rear 26in rear wheel from my old bike on the new 29er. Now it's a 69er. Really, that's what they call em. They even make them brand new like this. Probably with a shorter chain stay though.

The Gooseberry Trip was a blast, as usual. Three straight days of mountain biking on three of the best slick rock mesas in So. Utah. Guacamole Mesa, Little Creek Mesa and Gooseberry Mesa. Breakfast every morning at the Bear Paw Coffee Co. restaurant in St. George (mulitple choices of awesome coffee), ride slick rock all day, then steak dinner at Outback with copious amounts of Polygamy Porter. What else is there? (Well....) I'll add a few pics as soon as the riding buddies upload them to our web site.
Update Feb 2009. Two more mountain bike trips to Southern Utah slick rock mesa area last fall. Another trip coming up in April. I can't get enough of that stuff. I think I'm finally back 100% from the Oct 2007 crash but I still haven't ridden the section of So. Mtn. Mormon trail that f#%'d up my back. The thought of that pain again makes me get off and walk that piece every time. Just to set the record straight its not all about bikes. The wife and I went on a Mexican Riviera cruise last fall. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it. Had to double up on the gym visits to get rid of the extra poundage after I got back. I think we'll do some more "cruisin". I highly recommend it. It will rejuvenate your relationship.
