Milton's Story
Life
I, Milton A. Morris was born and reared in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I attended Cumming Street Elementary and Carver High School where I played trombone on the Marching Tiger Band. I attended South Carolina State College from 1967 till 1971 where I played on the band and majored in Biology. I also pledged and joined the Omega Psi Phi fraternity as a student at SC State College. I was a member of the ROTC, and I graduated with honor with a B.S. degree in Biology in 1971.

I left the military in 1974 and worked for 14 years in Columbia, SC as an environmental health inspector for the state of South Carolina. I also obtained a masters degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina during that period.
I currently am the Director of Environmental Health Science Programs at Benedict College. I retired from the US Army Reserves Medical Service Corps in 1999. My military occupational specialist was that of Environmental Science Officer, and my military retirement rank is lieutenant colonel.
I am married to the former Jacqueline Little, and I have one son and two grandchildren.
