Mindi's Story
After graduation, I went to college and then married Ryan White, my HS sweetie. We moved around a lot with the Marine Corps and then he became a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. Our first daughter was born in 2000. Ryan remained with LAPD and the USMC reserves. I became a stay-at-home mom and loved it! Ryan went to Iraq in 2003 where he went as 2/23's company gunnery sergeant. He earned a Purple Heart there when he was shot at the UN building in Baghdad (he would never tell you this, but I'm proud of him!) We renewed our wedding vows in 2004 and our second daughter, Bethany was born in 2008 (she's 14 months old now). I continue to be a mom and wife and love both pursuits! still love to cook/bake, read, read, read and take long walks with my family. We love to use our Disney passes, the beach, and camping in our truck and 5th wheel. I enjoy decorating and making our house a home and gardening. Unbelievably, Ryan can be up for USMC retirement in 2 years and in 2007 he accepted a prestigious position with LAPD's Hazardous Materials Unit with SWAT and Bomb Squad. I'm so proud of him. We are all doing good and hope to see everyone at the 20 year reunion! I just began a blog and have no idea what I'm doing but maybe it will be of interest to someone, anyone?
