Mindy's Story
Life
In 1972 I met my husband, at an R.O.P. class that one of the teacher's at Buena Park High taught at a local Supermarket in Anahiem. Mr.Costello, taught the class on becoming "A Retail Clerk." My husband and I dated all that summer, after meeting in that class and dated about one in half years before marrying in 1973. This Nov. 24, 2012 we will be married 39 years. We have 4 children. 3 Daughters, and 1 Son. Our oldest daughter is "A Labor Delivery Nurse" (she always makes sure her parent's are taking care of themselves!!) and has 4 Son's. Our 2nd daughter has one child and is a Nanny and works here too, at The Storage Facility "We Manage." Our Son, our 3rd child now Teaches "Kindergarten." Our 4th child is "An Assistant Deli Manager" at a major grocery store here in Colorado and is moving up and on, in the Retail Industry, and she has 2 daughter's. We have 7 beautiful grandchildren!! Wow, we have been busy!! My husband works for a major grocery chain (Albertsons) here in Colorado, and has been with his company 34 years. We moved from California in 1978 and moved to Oregon and lived there for 18 years, New Mexico 5 years, and now we are in Colorado. We enjoy hitting golf balls together, walking in the country, and going to the mountains. We use to camp and fish alot when our children were little back in Oregon, and had many wonderful years there raising our children. We witnessed Mt.Saint Helens erupting back in the 80's and man ash was everywhere!! We hope as we retire to see the entire U.S. so far we have seen California, Oregon, New Mexico, Utah, Montana, Texas, Kansas, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Missouri, Washington, Okalahoma. Still alot more states to see!! We are very active in our church, my husband is in "The Stake Sunday School Presidency" at our church, and I teach children at our church in "Primary" the class is called C.T.R. (Choose the Right) 7-8 year olds, which I absolutly "ENJOY." One of my student's is my little 8 year old grandaughter so you can not be "MORE BLESSED THAN THAT" with teaching your own grandchild at church, and the other 4 students who are in our class are absolutly darling, I consider them also, to be "my adoptive grandchildren," and we have lots of fun in our class learning about Our Heavenly Father and Jesus. ve ajusted to snow, snow, and then more snow in the winters!! We "enjoy" spending time with our Grandchildren, now ages 15, 14, 11, 9, 9, 8, 8, and of corse, we "LOVE" spending time with "ALL" of our family. We have 4 grandson's and 3 grandaughter's. So we are ever activly visiting them as time permits. Our oldest grandson (Wow, he is learning to drive!!) who is now age 15 years old, reminded us, "that he saw a man with a T-shirt recently that read" "Grandpa's my name and Spoilings my game!!" We laughed as he told us that one!! I guess we do spoil but you just can't help it!! Isn't that why God gave us grandchildren? Spoil and send home! We have a dog and he is half lab and half pointer, such a nice breed to have!! He loves to retrive constantly, and will run for tennis balls all day long if you will throw them!! He also loves to jump for bubbles like a little child. Last year when it snowed he loved playing in that, we had 4 foot snow drifts so you can imagene how deep it was but he LOVED playing in it all!! We love building snowmen in the snow with our grandchildren and of corse they call the snowmen "FROSTY" what else would you name your snowman?!! Well, please write your Bios. it would be fun to read them. I am wondering if anyone has heard from Sherry Reams?? I lost contact with her around 1973 after I married. I only went to Buena Park High my senior year and I hung out with Sherry Reams (her maiden name.) I would LOVE to know how she is doing. I am not sure how many remember me, only being there for one year. You can look me up in your old year books in 1972 under Mindy Moore page 159. Well, it is hard to beleave 40 years gone by since we all graduated in 1972. I guess time flies when your having fun!! I hope all is well with each of you and your families. I have never managed to come back to a class reunion and would have loved to. It has been fun reading the bios. sent in by some of you and the questions answered on the question sheets. I am sure many of you have moved out of California, but interesting to read about the ones who are still there. We went back to California 2 years ago in Jan. and man it has changed big time!! Very Busy!! Well, be sure to write your Bios. They are FUN to read!!
