33 years is a long time since i left Orosi Union High; been to the campus lately to watch one of our daughters, Miriam play at a volleyball tournament and win.Yahoo, Kingsburg High!! The long cement wall we used to sit on for respite is sadly still there. It felt strange walking across the old place. i imagined seeing cigarette smoke coming out of the staff's lunchroom and the cafeteria cooks taking our lunch orders in a line. there are old and newer trophies and awards in sports in glass cases. the gym is looking better equipped but didnt seem as cavernous now. i remember our class being booed by the upperclassmen in 1974 entering as a frosh on our very first day which made me cry. 3 years later we welcomed the babies in the same manner. hehehhe. after being offered and accepted a full ride to the university of spoiled children (USC, Los Angeles) i moved to rent an apartment behind the Shrine auditorium adjacent to the Greek fraternity houses row. with hubris, I signed up for tough classes in biology, chemistry, psychology,bonehead english 101, spanish...Expand for more
