Miriam's Story
Wow, what to say about myself that everyone will read and not freak out about! :) Well, here goes!
I got pregnant at 16 in my junior year of high school by my then boyfriend Roberto (aka, Bobby); he was a marine (I was SO into the military at that time!) My father made me get married and my mother made me finish high school (Yeah Mom!) and after graduating from high school, I was a stay a home mom (boring!) We lived with my mom for a year and a half because we couldn't find any place willing to rent to a VERY young couple with a baby. My husband got transferred to Quantico, VA in 1982, so off we went. I decided we should drive across the US because it wasn't that big on the map! I figured we could visit all the places I've always wanted to see AND get to Virginia in about a week, maybe a week and a half (you're laughing now aren't you?!)

y 18-month-old teething son back to his grandmother in Hawaii! Oh, and we finally reached Seattle, WA. Suffice it to say, it took us over 30 days to reach Quantico, VA because we stayed a week in Washington (NO WAY were my son and I getting back into that **** car!); stopped in Colorado; stayed over with friends in Arkansas; spent time with my husbands family in Miami, FL; spent time with more friends in Georgia; arrived in Virginia in August, severely homesick and wanting a divorce!
Long story short -- stayed in Virginia 2 years; moved to California; got a divorce (YEAH ME!); raised my son alone and sent him to Hawaii to live when he graduated; realized I was a lesbian (no wonder men irritated me so much!); moved to Vancouver, WA to live near my mother; am finally in a loving, long-term relationship with a woman; own my house; taking care of my mother; working for a semiconductor company; have two BEAUTIFUL grandchildren in Hawaii; loving life and plan on moving back to Hawaii to retire!
OK people, let's here from you NOW! :)
