Hey! This is Misty (Ashby) Johnston. I have been married for 18 years and been a nurse in the CardioVascular Intensive Care for 18 years. I enjoy recovering the open heart patient! I have three children, the oldest boy is 15 1/2 and a sophmore, the middle daughter is 13 and a freshman, and the youngest is 10 and in the fourth grade. The youngest is adopted from the country of Brasil when he was just 6 years old. He didn't speak English so I learned some Portuguese so we could converse. He forgot how to speak his native tongue in 6 months. I homeschool all three of them and they have not been in government school since the 2nd grade and kindergarten. I am really proud of who they are becoming. They are well-behaved, repectful, fun to be around, and excited about serving God. The oldest plays guitar, is writing songs, likes to preach --when he gets a chance, bent on purity, and will still kiss me goodbye in public.
