Misty's Story
Life
In the fall of 1993 following graduation, I went to Surry Community College. I then proceeded to Appalachian State where I graduated in 1997, along with my then boyfriend and now husband Shane. I started my post college career in Human Services as a Social Worker for At Risk Children and I loved it. Shane and I were married in 1999 and we were blessed with our first child, Arianna in July of 2001. n Human Services. I stayed home with Arianna for a year until I began working as a Juvenile Probation Officer. The stay at home bug had already bit me so less than a year later, I chose to stay at home full time. In November of 2004 we were blessed yet again with our wonderul son Avery. I feel so lucky to be able to stay at home now, this job works well with me at this point in my life. At some point I may return back to work and hopefully back to NC where we will have complete access to free babysitting services...AKA grandparents!!!!!
