Misty's Story
Tim and I have been married for almost 13 year. It's hard to believe but we have been together for almost 20 years. I am getting so old. lol. Tim and I currently live in Leavenworth Kansas. I hate this town, but because of Tim's heath and career we can't move back home anytime soon. Maybe in 20 years or so. We have three kids, Tyler who is 11. Sydney, our only girl is 10. Peyton is our youngest, and last, is going to turn 1 on the 4th of March. Tim works as an electrician, he's been in the Kansas City union for 10 years give or take a couple of months. I have been a sty at home mom since our daughter was just a few weeks old. Currently I am a full time student thru Emporia State. I am about a year away from my teaching degree. I start my studnet teaching in the fall, with ESU this last a full school year. Between homework, kids, homework, Tim;s doctors appointments, surgeries and procedures, oh and did I mention homework, I don't have alot of time for myself or much fun. Hope fully that will all change after I am done with school and Tim goes to the Mayo Clinic in April...Expand for more

I just realised I am so use to Tim's heart condition I haven't explained it on here. Almost 10 years ago, Tim's oldest brother was diagnosed with a genetic heart condition. Tim went and got check and he has the same thing. It's called Hypertrofic obstructive cardio myopothy, or HOCM. After about two years he started to become very simptomatic. He had a defibulator/pacemaker implanted in his chest in 2002, followed later that same year with a cath surgery to thin his septal wall. About 4 years ago he went into atrial fibulation/flutter and we have been trying to get him into a sinus rhythum ever since. He's had two more surgeries and countless other test and procedures in the last few years. We went in Jan. to the Mayo clinic for his latest surgery and while there they found a large clot in his atria, so no surgery. We are trying to dissolve the clot now and hope to return to Mayo for his surgery in April. Fingures crossed.
This all sounds so sad, but we are still very much in love. So I guess thats what counts. I hope to see and hear from some of you all soon. Misty
