Misty's Story
Life
I spent some time working in fast food and retail right after high school. I partied and had fun for 6 months or so. Then I decided to get some direction and get a "real job". I graduated from Jones College MA program in 1992. I worked at St. Vincents Hospital as a Patient Care Tech, phlebotomist, and Unit Clerk from 1993-1997. In 1997 I went to work at a Women's Health Clinic as an office manager. I loved it and was there until August 2000 when the business merged with a large clinic "chain." I got married in 1995 to my high school sweetheart, Russ Henderson. Our first child, Ryan, was born in November 1998, sixteen weeks premature. He spent 17 weeks in the NICU at Shands. We were blessed and he is a healthy 8 year old now. Our second child, Devin, was born in November 2001. I am First Counselor in the Primary Organization (children's program ages 3-12) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am the room mom for Ryan's class. He goes to Timucuan Elementary, the same school both his dad and I went to. My life is good.
