Mitch's Story
Mitch's schools include Woodrow Wilson High School, William Cullen Bryant Elementary School, Will Rogers Middle School. Mitch attended UC Santa Barbara for one year then the U.S. Naval Academy graduating in 1971. He spent 10 years on active duty and 20 more in the Reserves in Long Beach. Worked in information systems among other jobs and now retired. Rides bikes, travels with Valerie and kids, loves dogs.
In 2012 we attended the Navy-Notre Dame game in Dublin. Took a Grey Line tour of Southern Ireland before the game, spent about a week in London after the game (was just after the 2012 Summer Olympics). All well worth doing. In 2014 took Holland America cruise to Alaska with 3 days at Denali Park. Bucket list trip for sure. In 2015 visited family (mine) in Milwaukee. In 2017 did ...Expand for more
the Grand European Tour (Amsterdam to Budapest) with Viking River Cruises and some friends. Great time. In 2018 some friends talked us into joining them on Viking's Waterways of the Tzars in Russia (Moscow to St. Petersburg).. We highly recommend this way of seeing Russia and Viking's cruise in particular. In 2019 we took two one week cruises in France (Paris-Normandy-Paris and Lyon to Avignon) with extra time in Paris and a week with a French family we know in the southern Alps. Wow. No cruises in 2020!!! Instead we (first time) rented an RV and visited Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Teton and Yellowstone. In 2021 went to my 50th USNA reunion in Annapolis and afterwards visited Mt. Vernon and drove to Milwaukee to visit family. No trips in 2022.
