Mitch's Story
Life
After high school attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Graduated and was commissioned into regular army in 1968. Entered active duty, infantry, serving 20 years until retirement in 1988. Assignments included Germany, Vietnam combat tour, Alaska, ROTC instructor tour, 82d Airborne Division and special assignments.
Joined start-up business in Atlanta in 1988, joined small consultancy, ODR in 1990 and developed expertise and reputation in organizational change management. Started KPMG Peat Marwick's change management practice in 1993 and joined Accenture, in Chicago, in 1995 where I managed global competency development for the partnership. Left Accenture in 1999 did independent consulting until moving to Montana in 2002.

Military
Commissioned regular army in June, 1968. Entered active duty to complete Infantry, Ranger and parachute qualification at Ft. Benning, GA prior to assignment to Germany. Coombat tour as infantry platoon leader and company commander in Vietman, earning 3 purple hearts.
Served in Alaska with the Arctic Light Infantry, then an ROTC instructor at Davidson College, North Carolina. Assigned to the 82d Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC for 4 years. Completed the Organizational Effectiveness Staff Officer course and served as an internal consultant to general officer commands and on special assignments until retirement in 1988.
Retired September, 1988 as Lieutenant Colonel.
