Mitchell's Story
Life
I moved to N.W. Arkansas in September of 1981. It's just 30 miles South of Branson, MO. and 20 minutes away from two beautiful lakes, Beaver & Table Rock where we swim just about every day in the summer and where they have some of the best bass fishing in the state. I met my wife Josephine at Tyson Foods in May of '82, and we were married on Apr. 2 1983. We just celebrated our Twenty Fifth anniversary. We've been blessed with two wonderful children. We have a son named Jared he is 21, who just got out of the Marine Corps and he'll be going to college this Spring. We have a daughter named Tiffany who's almost 17 going on 25. :-) Anyone with a teenage daughter knows what I mean. We have 4 cats and 1 dog. One cat we named Tigger, who has taken to me, and has anxiety issues when I'm gone for to long, then we have Pooh Bear, he's one finicky cat when it comes to what he'll eat, then there's Cloe who is one temperamental cat when it comes to being picked up or other people coming over. She'll run and hide and peek around the corner at them until she feels like coming out to investigate some more. :-) Lastly, there's Mitzie who is the youngest. ...Expand for more
She is so calm, gentle and tiny for her age. She has taken to my wife. She comes running to her as so as she gets home from work. Then we have a dog named Buddy. We've rescued everyone of our pets. We own our 2,300 square ft. home on 2 acres of land in the country. I became disabled in 1996 when I broke several vertebrae and compressed two discs with two more herniated in my back while I was the Manager of a big grocery store here in town. Before that, I worked for Coke Cola for 8 years. I've also done construction work for several years building homes & Hotels, I've done some Blasting for 3 years. (working with explosives). That was the hardest job I ever had. I had to Operate a 60 & 90 lb. jackhammers for 9 hrs. a day for just a few seconds of blowing up rock. But it was probably the most fun job I've had too. When I first moved here, I went to work for everyones favorite store, Wal-Mart. I worked there for 2 years when it was still only located in Arkansas. Then I went to worked for Tyson foods. I worked there for 2 years, and it's where I met my wife Josephine. Now, I have my own business. A Cup Above coffee. I sell coffees, teas & spices.
