After high school, I spent two years at Saddleback College (when all they had were temporary buildings) and a year at Orange Coast College before transferring up north to Humboldt State University in 1974. I loved the redwoods and would have stayed in that area but there was no work after graduation. So I moved to Seattle in 1977 on the urging of a college buddy who had moved there. I was an art major in college which helped me get a job as a technical illustrator in a local high tech company. It wasn¿t oil painting but it paid the rent. Since then, I¿ve worked in technical publications for a number of different companies and have been with Boeing for the past ten years.
