Mitzi's Story
Life
OK... yes, I married Aggie... and we have been happily married now for almost 16 years. We have 2 boys: Chris 15 (sophomore), and Tony, 13 (in 8th grade). We live in Ontario off of Vineyard, on Tam O'shanter street, and most likely will be here forever. Chris goes to Summit HS with me, and Tony is at Magnolia JHS with John. Both like football, but this year Tony is too big for Pop-Warner and Chris is still in recovery from his head injury last October... so we'll see what happens at basketball season since they both plan on playing for their respective schools. I still play softball regularly. Once a week for leagues (women's) and then 2-3 weekends/month for tournaments (usu. women's, but sometimes co-ed). I also play golf but I have no short game; so I basically suck at it... OUr family is also very involved at church at St. Elizabeth's on Grove.
I guess that's about it. Hope to hear from you!
School
I graduated from Chino High in 85... Wow... my students at AB weren't even (as they say) "at twinkle in their daddy's eye" yet... Went to U of Redlands, decided to major in math, so I wou...Expand for more
ldn't have to study much and would have more time for fun (which I had). Graduated with a BA in Math, in 1989; then, went to Claremont Grad Univ. to earn my Masters in Education (emph. secondary mathematics) and my teaching credential.
Well, last summer (06) I decided to take some more classes to jump the pay columns, and I did and I still am (I'm also taking care of my CLAD requirements too). And I guess that's about it!

Workplace
I started subbing for Chino; then after an internship in Arcadia, I started teaching at Chino HS in 1992. In 1998, I left CHS for personal reasons and went to AB Miller in Fontana. Just this past year, we opened a new high school and I moved there. So now I teach at Summit High School. I teach AVID, algebra 1 and algebra 2 honors. I am the head softball coach and am in charge of a very large program called "link crew" which is a transition program for our 750 freshmen. The kids are awesome there -- please don't believe the things you hear about Fontana kids -- they really are awesome. And I guess that's it...
