Monica's Story
Hello, Well first thing I want to say is that I did not graduate with my class and that is something I will regret forever. Unfortunately I never experienced High School at all with my friends. I got Married at a very young age and started my Family very young as well. Ahhh the memories I have from my youth...lol ...I did miss alot growing up, But I would not change a thing as my Children are my life. I have 4 Children 3 Beautiful Daughters and 1 Handsome Son. They are all grown now and have given me 5 beautiful Grand Children 4 girls and 1 boy, My 2 eldest Children were stolen from me by their Father when they were (my son was 2 yrs and my daughter was just over a yr old). I did get them back after almost 5 yrs later, I knew I would and never gave up hope of finding them, You will read more about this further along in my story. I would like to get back in touch with so many long lost friends and also many not so long or lost...lol Sorry I'm a big joker I love to laugh and make others laugh with me. I am currently living in Artesia and I am the Office Manager at Skate Depot in Cerritos Ca. Feel free to come in and show us what ya got ( Moves on Skates that is...lol ). Please send me an invite if you like, One can never have too many friends.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Melodie Cata, because She was my best friend as a child. We lost touch so long ago. We spent alot of time together and had such fun.. I have missed her so very much over the years. If anyone knows her and how to contact her please let her know she can find me here.
My current age is 48. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be Old Farts!. I was so completely....... Right!.......Hehehe...J/K.
I share my home with My oldest Daughter., which I find Challenging ( Most of the time ).... We had always butted heads it seemed when she was a teenager, But now that she's grown I look at her and know I did good, She has blossomed in to a beautiful, Caring and Responseable Woman. Who could ask for more? Well I could complain but....Who would listen?....lol
My first job was at Mr G's Steak House, where I got paid like $3.35 hr. to take food orders etc. . What I remember most about it is It's a wonder I didn't weigh a ton from ea...Expand for more
ting so good...lol. Had a blast working there and met some good people along the way. Most of all if not for working there I would not have met then an Officer of BG Police Dept. Who I owe a world of thanks to, For after Mr. G's I worked at Mehr Auto Parts (Loved that job too!) where we had run in to each other now and then and just talked about life, And I had told him about my ex-husband having stole my 2 Children after I filed for a divorce and left the state with his whole Family and my Children!! Not knowing where they were or if they knew I was looking for them. I had told him that I would never give up and that I knew in my heart I would get them back someday be it a day a year or years I would see them again! Then out of the blue 1 day I received a call from my friend Officer Gossett telling me that they have found my Children!! He had issued an Nationwide Warrant for my ex-husbands arrest and I would be getting them back within a few days!!! I will never forget nor show enough appreciation to him for caring enough to have given my life with my Children back. For this I owe him everything.
Growing up across the street from Ford Park and swimming at the pool. Had the best times at that pool. I probably spent 90% of my summers in that pool all 3 sessions on the days they had Night sessions... Those were such good times when things were so much simpler and life was great. If I had the chance to go back in time I would no doubt choose the early 70's to return to. Loved school my friends going rollerskating at Skate O' Rama in Downey, The mattinee's at the Avenue Theater in Downey, Living across form Ford Park there was always something to do with my friends even if only climbing trees at the park or just walking around all over town because we could at that age with no worries from our parents.
Well I guess that I will stop here as I am sure that I have pretty much bored you all to tears....lol Is great sharing and re-living such sweet and even some sorrowful moments with all of you. Would love to hear from any of you who would like to get back in and or keep in touch. Thanks for visiting my page please sign my Guestbook b4 you leave.
Love and Respect,
