Monica's Story
Life
Oh my, where to start. I have basically been married, divorced, had -0- children and have been at the same job which I love for 27 years. I lost my parents many years ago but my sister Lisa who graduated in 1977 is my best friend and along with her daughter, my niece Jennifer, everything has been great. I suffered from Breast Cancer in 2000 and again in 2004, but I came through that with flying colors and happy to say I am a "survivor". I have owned a townhome in North Miami for 21 years and I love being so close to where I grew up.
School
I was basically a one/two friend person, never really belonging to a "clic", but I did make many friends along the way. The friends I did have,...Expand for more
I always cherished and I was always the friend that everybody wanted to have in school. I sometimes miss the carefree days back in school and there are some things I would like to change, but overall I do not regret any of those days. It just seems like so long ago....longer than it actually is.
Workplace
For the last 24 years I have been employed by American Medical Response which is a private ambulance company. I manage the Legal Department where I handle tasks such as subpoena/record requests from attorney's offices
(quite a few from our classmates who are now attorneys), probate filings on deceased patients, patient bankruptcy, etc. I love my job and cannot imagine not being there.
