Monica's Story
Life
I couldn't be happier. Things have been VERY busy since SFHS. Graduated from Occidental College with a degree in Politics. Worked for City Councilmembers Mike Hernandez, Richard Alarcon and Mayor Richard Riordan. Currently I manage the State Housing Trust Fund for the California Association of Realtors and help develop housing policy.
I married Raul Fontanills, Jr. (c/o '90), we've got two beautiful kids (Adrian, 4 and Eliana, 2). We bought our home 6 years ago in Mission Hills (stayed in the neighborhood!!) We love to travel! The kids are now at an age where they are st...Expand for more
arting to appreciate it. We took them to New York in April and will be in Boston and Maine in August.
I love the challenge of being a working mother. I'm still very active in the community, on the boards of the YMCA and Communities in Schools and am an LA County Commissioner.
I still keep in close contact with Dee-Dee (Cordova) Carrasco, see Sonya Tarin now and again, and Connie Ortiz. Hope you all are doing well. I skipped out on the 10 year reunion because it was on the same day as my due date for my daughter!
