Monika's Story

I left Vallejo right after graduation and became a registered nurse. After graduating from nurses training I went on to be a seasonal fire-fighter for the state of California. In 1980 I volunteered to go to Cambodia and worked in the refugee camps. 1981 I had my only child, a son ...Expand for more
named Brian Petersen. I didn't get married until I was 47 years old, and have been happily (90%) married ever since (10 years) A lot happened inbetween; but that's a start. My mother still lives in Vallejo and I visit her every Feb. I live on Whidbey Island and I am still a nurse.
