Monte's Story
Life
Now-
Spent Seven years in Atlanta and then moved back to Louisville almost two years ago (Atlanta has lost it's "charm" as a city of the south, now it's just people and traffic).
Over the last 10 years I have traveled through most places in the US, and Louisville really does have everything a city needs to offer- in a size that is very accomodating.
Married to Amanda (graduated from Assumption in '83) for 10 years, and have two wonderful children (Nicholas 3, and Emily 7)
Have been in the Bar-coding, Data Collection, Automation business for the last 14 years, and done everything from Sales to Marketing to Executive Management- currently, setting up a US office for a UK based software company, and will run North and South America from good old Louisville, KY.
Just got recruited as a part-time asst. coach for J-town High School Football, where (when I'm not travelling) I'll work ...Expand for more
with the Defensive Backs and Specialties. This is great because in the early 90's I coached pee wee football in J-town and now some of the kids I introduced to football, will be Seniors this year- and playing for me- again (Life is Good!).
Currently building a music room in my basement to introduce my kids to the best part-time activity I ever had.
Then-
After Moore H.S., I spent 2 years trying to make the music thing happen (i.e. played in Bars at night and worked as a janitor at J-town High School during the day).
I then gave up and headed for Georgetown College (where I ended up playing Football again). After college, back to Louisville where I managed a local computer store and thereafter worked for a systems integration company.
I also coached pee wee football in J-town for three years, where if you read the "Now" section, you'll see that some of them are playing for me again.
