I thought I would be able to be one of the first to attend "CAL-HI" all 4 years from 1954 to 1958 when the school was "Brand New"?? But my Dad got a better job in Oceanside and I attended Cal-Hi from Sept 1954 to Dec 1956 in my freshman-sophomore & 1/2 of my junior year. When I moved to Oceanside-it was tough not knowing anyone. I was lucky that I did become editor of my high school newspaper in my senior year. I also worked as a Photojournalist at the age of 16 for a Daily Newspaper--this job & all the experience helped prepare me for life. My experiances in Whittier also helped me prepare for life.
