Rocky's Story
Goodness. I once posted a story, but I guess when I upgraded, it was deleted. To refresh your memory about me, let me remind you who I am.
At Queen Anne elementary, Lebanon Middle School, Hopkins Junior High, Lower Richland High, and Lebanon Union High School, I was known as Mose. I was known at Travelers Rest High as Rocky. I now use my full middle name, which is Mosby. (Yes, any Civil War buffs, it is the same as The Grey Ghost of the South, John Singleton Mosby. He was my grandmothers uncle, so yes, it was her maiden name.)
My life, in full is somewhat of a harrowing way.
I was born pre-mature, with a hole in my heart. The medical term was Tetrology of Fallow. I had open heart surgery in July of '71. On 11-03-78, I was hit by a 3-4 ton pick-up truck and thrown 150 feet. I had a closed-head injury, which put me in a coma for 3 weeks. When I awoke, I had to re-learn everything. Sadly, before the accident, I was a 'brain-child'. In 3rd grade. I was working on high-school/college level material. After the accident, I was reduced to a below average intellect. Fast forward to 05-18-88, and I had an industrial accicent in a metal factory. While bending metal that goes inside the bends of roof awnings, I cut my fingers off (ugh). ery, they reattached my fingers. Sadly, my two middle fingers on my left hand needed to be amputated from the middle joint. (Yes, one of my nick-names is stubby).
On the work-force, I led an un-productive work life after high-school with dead-end jobs. (McDonalds, Pizza -Hut, Burger King etc). I was smart enough to go to Jobs Corps in 1993, and, after studying Busness/Clerical for 8 months, I graduated with a certificate. I worked for a credit reporting agency doing Mortgage Credit reports for 4 years. I also worked in the collections department of JC Penny for 1 and 1-2 years. For 5 years after that, I worked in the collections department of FCNB for 5 years. I have been on disability since 2003. I also work part time with (you guessed it, Pizza Hut) (LOL)
I have a son, who will be 14 in May. He lives with his mother in Oregon.
Places I have lived range in South Carolina, (Greenville, Slater-Marietta, Columbia, and Central), Georgia (Marietta, and Lawrenceville), Oklahoma, (Muskogee) and Oregon, (Lebanon, Sweet Home, Astoria, Troutdale, Portland, and Eagle Creek).
I love Classic Rock, and Classic Heavy Metal. I have written poetry, and I try to play the guitar.
