Motti's Story
I went to D.A.S. for JK I think. I remember the day some kids on the floor below us set a couch on fire, and meeting my best friend there : )
After DAS I went to Palmerston public school and learned in French emersion for a few years.
Then I was briefly at Ryerson, for just like one semester, and then finished the year at Regal Road, by Duffrin and St.Clair. I was at Regal Road until the end of grade 6.
Then my family moved to Peterborough. I went to Queen Mary for 7 & 8, and then to PCVS for high school.
Moved back to Toronto for the end of high school, and went to Avondale Alternative (AISP).
In my OAC year, with 2 months left until graduation I decided to drop out with something like a 92 avg. My teachers told me that all I had to do was just show up and I'd pass. But on principle - because I thought "society" was corrupt so that people don't care about each other, or our effect in on the world in which we live, and have the real priorities of life so garbled and lost etc... hehe , and I didn't want to get sucked in by going farther down that road - i.e. diploma > university> ba > ma > job > house > debt debt debt, hehe :p ... so, I took off.

r who I hadn't seen in many years and lived at his place for a few months.
Hitched from near Toronto to BC with my best friend.
Lived for a while in Jasper, Alberta, and then in Peace Village near Winlaw, B.C. in the Slocan Valley, and on Power Lines Beach and in Nelson B.C.
Went back to Toronto for a few months. Began learning Torah.
Went to Israel. Spent years learning Torah in Yeshivah, in Israel. Then was at Bar Ilan University to study Education and Musicology respectively.
Was back and forth between Toronto and Israel some.
Worked camp jobs a few times and some other odd jobs for a few months here and there.
Hmm, how these external details seem to miss the point and essence of things so much, hehe - conventions...
Amidst all those locations a LOT of life happened. Everything from awful soul-tearing suffering to soaring, rich, serene joy, and gentle honest love - the whole spectrum. Much learned, much lost. Some good human successes and some life shattering failures. Lots of music sung. A few intimate connections with heart. Arguments. Lessons. Thoughts. Fears. Smiles. Efforts. Anxieties. Great laughs. Kindnesses given and recieved. Reaching out, and hiding away. lots and lots of LIFE. hehe : )
