Hey, Got to the Rodgers land at 5:50am. It was a perfect morning, plenty of owls and crows lighting up the sky, plenty of load noises to shock a deaf gobbler. Pat and i was astonished, 6:45 no turkeys within hearing distance. We sat down on a log and ate breakfeast, waiting on one to gobble. We headed to the long ridge to see if something would scream at us over their. Got to the long ridge at 7:20. While we were walking to a listening spot one screamed off in a distance, both of us coursed him to the left side power line. The next gobble was right side power line. Pat and I looked at each other, is that two birds or did we miss judge the sound? We decided, missed judge the gobbles. Gobbleeeeeeocococ!!! we got him located right side power line, we set up at the brake. The old gobbler would not answer my cuts, I was having to call alot to keep him inerested.
